Nelson’s Journey is a charity dedicated to supporting bereaved children and young people throughout Norfolk, based in Norwich. They came to Bluespace with an idea to design their new ‘Smiles House’ headquarters. The new headquarters needed to be suitable for a range of purposes and is split over two floors. It has been designed with glazed partitioning as well as bold curved walls to split up the large space available.
The ground floor includes a range of fun, colourful finishes and furnishings in areas for children and young people to talk, interact and play. Private therapeutic rooms have also been designed with comfortable soft furnishings and striking feature wallpapers. The ground floor also has an open plan office area, cellular office and a kitchen/dining room for the staff to use.
The first floor has been designed with the staff and offices in mind. The colourfully designed, open plan area compromises 8 workstations. Glazed and solid partitioning have been used in the design to create a cellular CEO’s office and a large meeting room.
Our experienced design team have created some beautiful 3D renders to illustrate the design to the client, which were very well received.
We look forward to seeing the finished product for this exciting project!
